This is a crazy, unprecedented time we are living through. Here are 5 Memes to describe what my time is like during the 2020 quarantine.

  1. Toilet Paper was the first to go…

Yes, it’s true son, there were people fighting in the middle of Costco for toilet paper. When the stores were restocked, you had to wait in line for hours for a chance you might get a roll or two. You might be asking yourself, “wouldn’t you stock up on food before toilet paper?” A clean bum is a necessity to survive.

2. Zoom University, we paid WAY too much money to attend this college.

I spent some wild days in college… Zoom University was the wildest of them all. It was troublesome getting up early and walking 5 steps to your desk to attend class. Some students had smoothies and coffee to keep them awake during lectures, and others would have a margarita or two after school Zoom meetings were common. There were zoom college parties, lettuce eating club meetings, and dogs-only hangouts.

3. Is today Monday? Sunday? Thursday? What day is it?!

It was day 27 and 1/2 way into quarantine, and I thought it was last week. There was no sense of time. Time was a social construct. Would the day ever end?

4. Everyone was obsessed with a man called the “Tiger King.”

Tiger King became everyone’s escape. The great debate of the time was whether or not Carole Baskin killed her husband. I mean, it was obvious she did and fed him to the tigers… but what do I know?

5. We started to live in an episode of Black Mirror mixed with the fashion from Monsters Inc.

Masks have become the newest fashion statement. Some people even dressed in big yellow suits… I heard a kid in the store the other day call a shopper in a yellow suit a Twinkie. I wanted to buy one but remembered the store was all out of dessert.

On a real note, I hope everyone stays healthy, physically and mentally. Take this time to focus on yourself and bettering your mind. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that you are not alone in this. I am sending all my love and prayers to everyone around the world.
